Introducing Whites’ temporary & construction traffic control

Whites was one of the first traffic management companies in Christchurch. In 2006, Chris White purchased the company, Treleaven Rigging (TR). Back then, construction traffic control/temporary traffic control in Christchurch was still in its infancy. As one of the city’s first traffic management companies, TR became involved in traffic control as they used a cherry picker to rig banners for the Christchurch City Council (CCC) and needed to park the cherry picker on the road. This affected other road users, so temporary traffic control around the area was necessary. The business was regularly in contact with the CCC and other local authorities about traffic management.

Companies and other contractors soon noticed that TR had acquired the skills and equipment required for traffic control and began to ask them to undertake their traffic management, and it all grew from there. In 2007 when temporary traffic management became the sole focus of the business, TR underwent a name change and became Whites Traffic Management.

Early in 2020, Dan and Blaise Davison purchased Whites Traffic Management. After completing the required courses and intensive training under the leadership and guidance of Chris White, the transition has been seamless, and we have continued to provide the top-quality traffic management services that Whites are renowned for.
